Often you have to paste some text copied from one document or application into another, and you want the text to get the attributes (such as color, font, dimension and style) of the new document instead of preserving the attributes copied from the old one. OneApp Clean Text eliminates all text formatting, preparing it for pasting. Moreover, the application performs other useful functions, such as removing empty lines, removing multiple spaces, removing tab characters etc. It's also very useful for printing out text without wasting ink and paper, as often happens when you print directly from a Web browser.
2) System requirements
OneApp Clean Text requires Mac OS version 7.1 or later.
3) How do I use it?
Using OneApp Clean Text is really simple: the main window of the program has some buttons and a text field.
Pasting text: The first thing to do is to paste some text previously copied from another application into the text field. You can do this using the 'Paste' command from the Edit menu, by drag and drop or by pressing the dedicated button.
If you hold down the Option key when pressing the button you'll get a 'Paste Over': the pasted text replaces any text currently contained in the field.
Cleaning text: The application let you edit text as in a standard word processor; there is also a convenient search functon. The check boxes let you choose automatic text operations such as eliminating multiple empty lines, etc. When you press the 'Clean Text' button, it will execute the selected operations.
If you don't want to apply changes to the whole document, just choose the text you want to clean, and Clean Text will modify only that selection.
Printing text: This function lets you print the contents of the text field. It's very useful for printing (for example) text found on the Internet without images and empty spaces such as you often get when printing from the web browser application.
Copying text: The last operation is the one of copying the cleaned text and pasting it into the target document. To do this you can either choose the 'Select All' command from the Edit menu to select the text then copy it, or press the 'Copy All' button.
4) Limitations of the unregistered version
OneApp Clean Text is shareware. After the twenty-fifth launch of the program, a shareware reminder window appears and forces you to wait for 8 seconds every time you open the program and the options "Fix Paragraphs" and "Remove Returns" will become unavailable. To remove this limits, register your copy of the program.
OneApp Clean Text has a registration fee of $15.
Once you have registered, you are considered registered for all future versions of OneApp Clean Text, so you do not need to pay any additional fees when you upgrade to a new version.
